I hear you on getting caught up on. I now pay the price for foolish behaviour 30 years ago. I quit "social" media all together. And my social life took a nosedive because of it. Might also be the population here, since lasting social relations does not appear to come easy. Or at all. Funny...

I bring home whatever I take with me out and more often than not, even more than that. I lack the proper facilities to dispose of my waste in such a way, that places the least amount of stress on that place we call home. But I begin with avoiding creating waste as much as possible to begin with...

I have an early 60's military Savotta 339...... which I don't use. Why? I have other packs, that fit my needs better. Loved it though. Very rugged with a waterproof liner on the inside.

The fabric is already failing?? Some quality. My early 1930's Bergen is still fully functional, so I guess the fabric on yours has started to rot. Not entirely dry storage maybe? In that case it might be a lost cause.
