Forget the vaguely pointless use as a weapon and the evidence seems to be they were carried for multiple other uses so what are those uses?
Samurai and Ninja History on Youtube has I seem to remember a historic record of them being used as climbing spikes.
You do have to wonder if enough of them...
A lot of lightweight hikers talk about having a process for taking stuff out and putting it back for that reason. It also about making sure they do not forget anything.
I know the idea came from someone on here however I am trying to get a smaller velcro first aid kit for my hiking rucksack and as my boo boo kit. On my bushcraft bag I have one of the molle rip away first aid pouches as used by someone here. It on the outside of my pack and it obviously a first...
I think one of my main problems with the pack diagrams is they place the cooking stuff in the middle when in the real world it ends up at the top or in a side pocket. The one thing I am going to do in the middle of the day is stop and have a drink.
Everyone is saying it however it comes down to...
Light.
It is also a good thing to think about packing, unpacking and use.
It really matters what you plan to do? Hiking 20 miles a day for days on end will change what you are willing to carry.

You might want to double check however think that safe. Someone eat it everyday and died so it worth being a bit careful. Think something in it bad for the liver.
I think that was sort of their point in that a lot of times you should limit your intake of some things maybe even not eat however you can find recipes and people advocating for them still without pointing this out.
I think comfrey was something they mentioned.
I was listening to Paul Kirtley talk to the bloke who wrote the forgoer's handbook and both of them were saying to check everything to make sure you are listening to the most up to date information about if something is poisonous or toxic.
There is apprently a big problem with people looking at...
I think the big advantage to a tarp over anything would be the ability to use it around windbreaks so you could find yourself a nice dry stone wall which is going nowhere hopefully.
I would look at the link above as those tuck boxes are amazing and some really clever ideas out there.
I would be tempted to put a shelf above so I could put my 2 burner stove in it.
Also I would be very tempted to have the leaf(not sure if that the right spelling) go as long as possible and...
