I have one that I don’t want. I’ve got a couple of full (disposable) cartridges too.
Unfortunately stove and cartridges are the next size up about as tall as the diameter. Not CG. There’s a green one and a silver one. They feel full and no holes.

We used to “heel in” fruit rootstock cuttings in sand in the autumn. ( bundled together in a sloping cut to which we’d added sand. They stayed there until spring when they were carefully extracted with the beginnings of roots.
It was in a sheltered place.

Hawthorne hedging is traditionally planted 25cm apart in two rows 20 - 25cm apart.
May we see some pictures of your land please. Something that shows water retention, slope and context. It’s the only way any advice might be useful.

I’m pretty sure that there are ways and adaptors for refilling disposable canisters. I’ve watched it being done (by a stove expert in the open air at a camp site)
Agree. Boil, scrape by swirling with grit & water then boil two plain water fills and it will be fine.
Disinfect if you wish but for no more than 30 mins in aluminium - but then you’ll probably need to boil a bit more than two fills. Do a test run using your preferred drink - tea, coffee...
