    Kelly kettle hacks

Congratulations on your first camp kitchen. It’s good to hear. Now: What size Kelly Kettle? Re - Trekker: Your Kelly Kettle is no more a threat to the countryside than an open fire and in many regards less so. It’s much more efficient. Patrick Kelly is working on a plastic bottle that...

    What did you buy today?

We used to use a huge cast iron mangle with wooden rollers when we did car wash fund raising. They cost a fortune these days!

I have one that I don’t want. I’ve got a couple of full (disposable) cartridges too. Unfortunately stove and cartridges are the next size up about as tall as the diameter. Not CG. There’s a green one and a silver one. They feel full and no holes.

What to do with partially boggy land?

We used to “heel in” fruit rootstock cuttings in sand in the autumn. ( bundled together in a sloping cut to which we’d added sand. They stayed there until spring when they were carefully extracted with the beginnings of roots. It was in a sheltered place. What direction is your land...

What to do with partially boggy land?

Hawthorne hedging is traditionally planted 25cm apart in two rows 20 - 25cm apart. May we see some pictures of your land please. Something that shows water retention, slope and context. It’s the only way any advice might be useful. Edited to add: As you are new here you can’t post pictures...

    Dead mouse in my Kelly

Bear Grylls. Rate him or slate him?

This ^^^^^^^^^ They have both written extensively. Much better sources than a group of people who have developed highly individual approaches to bushcraft and its definition.
