    Hammocks - got some questions

Have a chat with BigMonster, (he has posted on this thread) with a view to getting one of his "EasyHammocks". I was a very happy "DD" user and still rate their kit highly but when I first tried the "EasyHammock " I was sold. While I am only 5ft 4in I have an embarrassing huge number of kilos...

    Covid 2nd jab

I made a joke about being 95% immortal. This is is joke, it is untrue but it is not a lie. It was a play on the wording in an NHS notice concerning aftereffects I am able to make jokes about things that are serious because I separate distorted "facts" to make them funny and real facts in my...

    Lavvu, joined the club!

Fitted a skirt, chopped the bottom off another size 1 and held on with string and press stud poppers. Guyed out to a wooden frame as not allowed to peg it out on artificial grass! Tripod of 3 Wilco washing line poles.

    Covid 2nd jab

It was a joke, a play on words, a deliberate mis-take on the "95%" wording. I do not really think I am 95% immortal. The day after my Jab I did not win the lottery..... am I to blame that on the vaccine. Chill people CHILL

    Covid 2nd jab

Had my 2nd Covid jab today...yeah. They said now I have had it, the chances of me dying have gone down by 95%. Seeing as yesterday, it was an absolute certainty that I was going to die someday : I would say that makes me immortal, give or take 5%! Well done NHS. Going really upset the folk that...

    Tea Dye a wool blanket.

I also just gave mine a quick rinse and it worked fine. Would think if it was hung to dry full of the tea mix, the bottom ends would take on a darker shade! Any how, it took just fine and has stay a lovely shade for a good few years now.

    Not quite 'bushcraft' but camping

2 people visit a given area each weekend for a year, each making a tripod style Bushcraft chair. 6 saplings each weekend for a year! In 12 months what was a tiny corner in the woods is now a clearing bigger than a football pitch. I take my own metal poles with me... and bring them home.

    Lavvu, joined the club!

Hot air rises! The lavvu was lower before but even with a 30cm/foot gap it got both convection warm and radiant hot.

    Lavvu, joined the club!

Henchy3rd, With my very little lavvu experience I found my stove took up a lot of space. I understand that a small stove needs a lot of feeding but mine heats up the lavvu in very quick time.
