Very old pressure treated wood is to be avoided (more than 20 years) as it had copper & arsenic in the treatment. More modern pressure treated is fine. Go as thick as you can because wood will rot. Non rotting materials (brick, plastic) can be useful.

Yup, that's what I meant. If I'm dressed I have a knife, lighter & torch on me. In the fields, at a mates house, in the car. I'm not an office worker so that doesn't apply, but these are the things that I carry every day.

I do use a lot of fish sauce in other dishes. I remember being worried about health impacts of MSG and then I learned that it's just seaweed extract & glutamates occur naturally in many foods. It's interesting that no scientific study has shown health issues...

From a purely fruit basis probably not. I grew them for biodiversity mainly
