I've been away from this site for a few years and haven't done any bushcrafty things for a while. I still go up to the highlands every winter but it has turned into more of a walking holiday with a few nights wild camping thrown in.

I use those Lakeland bags there pretty tough. I've used normal zip locks before but I was always worried about them splitting with hot water.
Its a shame that the Lakeland bags don't have any form of closure but there quite tall so I just roll them up and put some tape over it.
Drove for 2 and a half hours. Paid 8 pound to park the car. 29 pound for me and my brother to get in. Was very dissapointed. I shall not be going again.
I don't think the competition was done in a bad way really. More light hearted than I expected. I especially liked it when the other two stopped to help the guy who messed his leg up.
