Ive just done 2 bottles of sloe gin and a bottle of plum brandy.I cant find any cherries anywhere so i think im gonna have to buy some for the cherry brandy.Ive got a couple of pounds of sloes left over so i might do a sloe vodka,is the vodka as good as the gin?

After my first weekend under canvas for a while i really cant wait to get out again(probably in a fortnight).But as was pointed out in another post, the place i went to is seasonal May - Sept. Now i know that safe places to "wild camp" are few &far between and that those in the know are not too...

I've just got back from a weekend camping at Debden House Campsite and had a brilliant time. Open fires,miles of forest to explore,also had a go at making some rudimentary wooden cooking utensils.But most of all its a foragers paradise.Nettles, Huge Bay Boletes, a few decent sized Ceps,apples...

Right just tried it with the Mora using the flat back edge rather than corner iykwim. Works perfectly.(sorry i cant find the right smiley for"bellend")

Right ive just been playing with my new toy &i can confirm that the striker is pony.It works a lot better with the serrated edge of a knife,problem being i only want to take one knife out with me, my Mora.Would it be viable to put a serrated edge on the back of the blade with a Dremmel or mini...
