I like my crusader set, even the plastic lid! Don't get the black, non stick, version for the mug as the non stick flakes off and is not pleasant (it's also carcinogenic). I've found the Greenheat gel works as well as meths or hex and it doesn't smell unpleasant.

I like the plastic lid! Just don't allow flames to go too high up the side of the s/s cup. Consider a strap to attach to the D rings of the bag.

Although it's possible to use meths directly in the fuel circle of the cooking unit I have added a small tin as a seperate meths stove. The tin is a 25g Proofide tin with holes punched in the lid.
