Nice... I like those babies. I do like my technotoys, and I have had my share of them. The stuff I like now are some of the apps I can download. My favorite navigation app is a dashboard HUD to dispay the phone or tablet as a projection onto the windshield. Back in the 1980s when I was in the Canadian Air Force, the CF-18 was of the new generation. In the mornings while towing them to the flight line I'd be doing my inspection on the equipment, and it was about 40 years that I had to patiently wait for my wish to come true. They eventually came out with a car version HUD, and exceeds my expectations because it's on a phone that would amaze Captain Kirk.

Oh, that is a very old version of the Garmin sat-nav. I bought it more than ten years ago because I think that the Garmin mountain navigation system is the best you can get. I didn’t realise that they would use the same Algorithm :lmao:
If the main road takes a long curve the bloody thing will send you in a straight cut though every mule track and midden and then back onto the same main road.

What you are seeing in the pic above is that there is absolutely nothing on the screen around my camp site.

It is a precise reference to the middle of nowhere.
