Could you use trangia pot/pan/kettles on an open fire or BBQ or would it be too hot?

How does food get organised at something like this. Does everyone just bring their own grub and cooking utensils and wait for firespace? Considering my culinary expertise starts and finishes with sausages and super noodles I'm easily satisfied :)

Not to stray from the topic but a decade or so ago we went for a camping trip with a quite large group of friends and alot of people came who hadn't camped before and one of the girls brought a hairdryer (the sort that needs mains electricity). Gave us hours of amusement that did ;)

Mine arrived on thursday. Am very impressed - broke a few on Thu night and when we came back after the weekend one of them still glowed faintly :) I know this buy turned into a bit of a hassle for some but I'd take some more if someone fancied another pop at it. Cheers

I get the same, especially when I'm tired. I get the impulse to move my legs every 30 seconds or so. Oddly I don't get it much in bed but it drives the wife mad when I do it in fron t of the TV :)

Can you do this with all types of wood?

I've just gotten a Trangie 27-4 (I think). People say it should boil 1L of water in 10-15mins. Best I've made it do (inside with the pot covered) is 20 minutes which is a shade long. I cooked a handful of sausages in it at the weekend and had to refill it half way through because it had run out...

You can get a tool specifically for straightening the pins. Makes it much easier..
