addyb I meant this jacket in particular http://www.hike-lite.co.uk/acatalog/Mountain_Equipment_G2_Apline_Jacket.html as this may be available from the ME co-op at a knock down price
Ben Lomond is meant to be quite an easy Munro as far as Munro's go, check out this website http://www.munromagic.com/MountainInfo.cfm/184 , you could also pickup parts of the West Highland Way. There are untold number of walks in the area that should cover each level of ability. I always ask...
Theres a place on that map called Seaforth, I work in the real Seaforth here in the real Liverpool in the UK.
Our Seaforth is a proper dump though. :lmao:
James if your looking in the Mountain Equipement CoOp then the G2 guide jacket comes highley rated. I don't use a softshell my self but it is on my list of things to buy. I will be looking at the new Montane eVent softshell as I run hot.
Also worth mentioning that if you are into Paramo but want a made to measure garment then there is http://www.cioch-direct.co.uk/ who use the same fabric and concept as Paramo.
Paramo is a huge favourite in the walking world but beware if you run hot as I do.
Malt loaf, I eat this for days on the hills walking and I find it gives off an excellent slow burn carb release and it is delicious. It is also worth trying it toasted mmmm.
