    Dressing for a Job Interview

Ah, Paul B, I wish. I am glad to say I am confident my interviewers (two of them) were good at their job. Few things more distressing in job hunting than folk who do not know how to interview.

    Dressing for a Job Interview

The tie was a good excuse to wear my Uffington White Horse tie pin. And Lo! It was a tie environment. Shirt, ties and V necked sweaters. Very neat but a certain schoolday ambiance. I managed to answer all the questions. "What gets you up of a morning to work in a museum?" Pay? Since its a...

    Dressing for a Job Interview

I had a look through my wardrobe; have a nice jacket, white shirt and formal shoes. So I then went through the charity shops and got some trews...and a grey T shirt to insulate. And a formal black mask. I will borrow a tie off of Dad...and get him to tie it.

    Dressing for a Job Interview

I read the list of skills required for the job. I have half...at most. Its for a Temporary Casual de facto Dishlicker...pretty much the bottom of the museum pile. Dad (who is much cleverer than me) says they are not interviewing me for the job, as such, they are interested in my Heritage...

    Dressing for a Job Interview

Havent been to a job interview in yonks! I have a suit; a rumply linen one. Maybe not; as a) Rumply. (normal for linen) b) Summery. c) I dont feel happy in it. Should I go for smart casual? Its for a museum job, so museum folk are often smart casual...

    Stone Age bits and pieces...

Oh. Have you thought about concentrating on the crafts and leaving the hunting bit to the young men of the tribe? The way you have lost weight recently makes me worry; you clearly have not had much hunting success of late. You need more fat on you for winter. (It is entirely possible that...

    Phoenix mountaineering sleeping bag

Yup, I am having a big heartsearch over this but I already have one of the bigger snugpacks... ...and I think everyone knows my distaste for sleeping bags; almost as big as my distaste for hammocks. Anyone know anything about it?

Not the Common or Garden Vango force 10

I am having a clear out and there are things that I have picked up, over the years that I am certain I will never use. So, time for an evaluation. I have your standard Force 10, Is it the Mark 4? I find it very handy. I have another of that stable; its smaller and has a single leg at the...

    Winter is coming.

Ah. Its not Dads house you see, hence the issues with Boiler and double glazing and insulation. The house belongs to his wife. (We havent seen her in over a decade on account of her being dead...) Also, possibly also pertinent, any major works would entail a lot of clearing out, and though...
