I think any car that has reverse in sixth also has an internal lock out that you can’t engage reverse if the car is also travelling at a speed that would have warranted being in fifth before hand.

Henry hoovers are very much favoured commercially. Schools in particular love them and I can guarantee that they would make it clear if the machines are rubbish….

As to Damascus, I did have a gorgeous one by Owen Bush. Sold on to fund other things at a point in time - one of those I shouldn’t have let go.
My place is 95% hard floor so it works fine to keep things in check. I do have a manual vacuum cleaner for when I need to use one but it’s not needed very often. The robot cleans while I’m at work.
I have been tempted by a robot mower for some time but just other things higher on the list.
Nope, I did it with a grinder and an angled rest. I realised that if one of the pieces is parallel on both sides it’s fairly straight forward.
