I did used to make a mix of chopped dates, nuts and seeds. V tasty, natural and kept in the fridge a while. They were heavy on the food processor though. It stripped the gears on the wee one I had at the time, never thought to add a bit of water to loosen the mix a bit.

Ahh seem's like he's updated the Intermediate course since the RSGB updated the course parameters. I'm guessing the Foundation course has also been updated and he's either working on it or not. I've heard great things about Essex Ham.

It’s a cracking little radio. I can’t remember if it comes with one of the little reel aerials, if not they’re very handy and really help with signal reception. I use them when away for work in Airbnb/hotels. Sony An-71 would be my recommendation.
To get good range on the CB Radio freq's people are using their usual ham radio with for a 'base station' 100w plus. A chap I know throws an amplifier on top for added power. He quotes big ranges but I don't have any experience personally.
