What do you wear under your Buffalo shirt?

I have the same problem, if it can be called that. A slight draft up under the bottom around stomak/back. I wear at Helly Hansen type tee-shirt, that helps. And as far as I can tell, without hampering the effect of the pile/pertex. Tryed it with a Merino, but too warm for me. Doesn't stink...

Nikwax and Gore-tex, The infamous saying.

As far as I Understand, G-tex (and simelar) are waterproof, but waterwapour can escape thrugh the membrane. But ONLY if it is nok clogged up. AND contitions have to be right too, as in lower water content in the air outside the membrane. I sure temperature difference, windspeed, and other...

    First Black & White Landscape

Nice pic. it's one of those pictures one can stare at for hours and still find new details... I'd like to add a comment on the composition. I feel it's a bit "heavy" -for lack of a better term,- on the right side. also the focal point (by this I mean where the lines of perspective converge, and...

What r the top 10 survival skills?

The best skill I can think of is the skill to spot and prevent a situation BEFORE it becomes a matter of survival... after this everything else becomes "engels dacing on a pinhead" (I hope I spelled that right?!) :D

    A gizmo for outdoor use.....

Hi everyone. I'm now going to open up a can of worms....:D It's about watches... or more pricesly,- watch-like gizmoes that goes around your wrist, and can tell you everything about the world that you otherwise could tell from at decent map, compas and commen sense. Now, I like toys...

    Unusual encounters in the wilderness

Never had any "real" sightings, if real they are.... But I love these kinds of stories, and I don't for a minute doubt there are things around, that does NOT goes bump in the night, and that there are things around we can't see. Or feel. or only sometimes we can... oh you know what I mean...

Trangia 25 series pans as dutch oven ?

I've heard about, but not tried, to use two pots, one inside the other, and separrated vith a couple of pebles in the bottom of the outer pot. This way the pot with the baking doesn't actually touch the fire, but is heated by hot air. Hopes this helps? /Martin
