    SWC Ray Mears Woodlore

I have a SWC Ray Mears Iroko handled knife brand new in the original box and I think the original invoice. Unfortunately I never got the chance to use it and it was put into storage. I now find myself at that point where stuff I no longer use will be better served moved on. I’m struggling...

The Feathery Tengu; Washing a feather/down duvet

Yep, a kingsize one on a low heat, if i recall to be fully dry took about 2 - 2.5 hours

The Feathery Tengu; Washing a feather/down duvet

I find that the commercial type dryers work fine as the paddles seem to give it a bit of a bash around - it may take a few hours though. If it is still slightly clumped a whack with a tennis racket while it is hanging on the line will help

    Recommendation for trainers

Had a pair of Keen Targhee - Waterproof and totally brilliant - I wore them 12 hours a day for about 2 years, well worth the cash

Lowa Patrol Boots - Pic Heavy

I too have the same problem with AB, i take an 11 Lowas but 11 in AB pushed on the side of my little toes, i had to go up to a size 12 to relieve this but they came up slightly too big. I too stick with Lowas and have never had an issue with Gortex lining, but they are heavy. I was thinking...

    Washing a tweed jacket

I have washed mine as above with no ill effects, i used normal washing powder though and it took 2 washes after the powder with just water as the suds seem to sit in the fibers as on a wool wash it appears to just gently agitate. I now wash it in the shower...... i just put it on and use normal...
