Is it too early / late for Daiseys ?

Hi Guys, Just thought you would like to know that daisy or using its scientific name Bellis perennis means forever beautiful. As Haverstman says, mircoclimates will have an effect on the plants and it's not unusal to find this flowering year round, as well as other species detailed.

Hi If it is saw dust, rather than shavings you could make your own woodcrete bird and bat boxes, if you google woodcrete there is a method for making it somewhere but can't find it at the mo. From what I remember you soak the shavings/dust- let it dry Then re-wet it with washing up...

    The Skull ID Thread

Hi Guys Have just come across this thread, yes its a pip, however as a licenced bat worker I have to point out that, to have part of a Europeon Protected Species (either dead or alive) is an offence (unless you have a licence for possession). Jonathan if this skull is in your possession...

    folding shovel

It's def got some carbon in it, I heat treated and quenched in water, took a chain saw file to it and it just slid off. I did notice a small crack in it, water quench may be to harsh for it will try oil when I've got a bit of time.

    folding shovel

I have got some steel from an old clearing saw blade, but it will be high carbon. what I was thinking was to anneal and shape, hardern and temper the edge only so that the bulk of material was still soft and good hard edge for the business end. instead of mucking about with a folding action, I...
