purpose of this configuration in daypacks?

I think that is the big thing going for these designs which works well in the office, school or college however when out in the beyond weight becomes one of my gods. Yeah, being able to find my glasses because they sit in a pocket at the top of my bag is a really big deal. The game of hunt the...

purpose of this configuration in daypacks?

I think that is the thing these pack ideas come from medic packs so they are used day in day out with the set up being designed to work with max muscle memory. The big thing that keeps getting in my way with using this idea is the duplication of items which is such a weight issue for us Civvies.

purpose of this configuration in daypacks?

I am not sure that works ever... The theory makes sense however I just think it gives you more pockets to not find what you are looking for in.

purpose of this configuration in daypacks?

Yeah, I have actually seen the 'latest' tacti-cool rucksack with rolls in it and after laughing at the blurb thought back 30 years to when the paramedics had those. It is an idea I have been thinking about for a while however it does not work very well from a weight point of view.

    Low Alpine Sting arrived

I have had my Strike for a while now and just starting to mod it. Lovely bits of kit. Only complaint would be the shoulder straps are a bit thin, it a weird one. Watch side pockets as I had fun getting side pockets due to zip direction issues.

    Belgian Army Mug

More info please John... as always. If you go over to Bushcraft USA and search for user spork (I think) he makes them and has a guide.

    Primitive Tech Tree

The massive problem with this train of thought is that there is minimal to no evidence to work with. Paul Kirtley Podcast 53: Theresa Emmerich Kamper On Traditional Tanning Theresa talks about this issue in this podcast. Think Ray mentions it in Woodland as well. The requirements for the stuff...

purpose of this configuration in daypacks?

A big problem for us is that most of this stuff now is not designed for our use. It is all being designed for the non-user like for school or college. Which makes sense as they can sell more. You will notice they have a very fashion approach with lots of colour changes and design changes year on...

    Primitive Tech Tree

My money is on lightning and then they carried it from place to place before working out how to make it themselves. Bow drill seems to make sense as being used for a drill first and then to make fire or someone goes I bet you could fling a sharp stick with this. Anyone who has used hand tools...

    New Zippo Insert

Zippo Arc Lighter insert - I kind of fancy one of these however it would have to usb-c. I have the special pad and everything in mine and it still dries out.

    EDC Pens?

Big fan of the parker refil however getting into the Pilot flexxions and their refiils a complete pain to find a cheap decent pen for them.

What are your favourite pocket knives?

That looks Brit military of some description.
