I would say, " Look at USMC marpat" and see if it can be sent to you. Quiet in the rain, warm, but has pit-zips to keep cool. Desert pattern seems to be cheaper.

I like Stupidly Simple Midge repellent and sometimes Wilmas Beck-Olja. SSBO seems good, but doesn't seem to last as long.

There is a Kifaru Koala Lite 2 inch pocket for $20.80 on their website. It's not the main portion, but may work depending on what you want to put in.
I have both the Koala lite and the HPG recon chest rig. Both have their own features that I like.

You can use a foam sleeping pad sideways inside your bivy. The sides will wrap around you and support the top to keep it from dropping low.
