Interesting reading..I've just got an allotment after amazingly only 5 months wait, 3 came up at once too. I know land nearby has been sold for houses and hope I get at least a couple of years on the plot..sounds like I've alot to learn!
For the last 3 years most weekends have been impacted in some way by the other halfs 90 repairs. It has been fun at times
but now is sitting waiting for it's fate to be decided on the driveway. I don't really mind either way if it stays or not but for everyday use give me fuel economy, doors...
I usually sleep on 2 or 3 sheepskins but but a recent week of nights on them left me tired from waking up with back pain. Try & sleep on your front as much as possible, I was told this by ex nato colleague, seemed to help a bit. Bought a double adult hammock but not tried yet as daughter nicked it!

I had 4 turtles on my wrist after working in Oz about 13 years ago after finding cute little turtles in a field of courgettes we were cutting.
Then after I had my daughter I did the bands on the other arm from some of her toy shapes.
It was meant to be complete sleeves but time flies & never got...

I'm the only one in my family enthused about staying outdoors so it's often put on the backburner, hoping to get a few more nights out this year tho :)
