    Winter tent window shopping...

That's alright, it's really helpful to have this pointed out & see your thought process on how you'd solve the problem within what you know to exist - and even just learning some extra brand names and websites to browse. I'm wondering if one of the net inners - like the DD mesh tents - combined...

    Winter tent window shopping...

point me in the direction of some interesting tents! I'm looking for a good quality thing for taking friends camping in - and maybe friends who aren't outdoorsy and have different boundaries around things like 'rain' and 'bugs' to the rest of us ;) Fun to be in - big windows or a window on...

Two decades evidence of Birch tapping.

Really appreciate this thread & the attentiveness to long term data and the wellbeing of trees!

    Shamagh

Apparently they are restocking very soon! I've been craving one of the green and black ones. You just can't beat proper craftsmanship in a great textile.

    Wintermoot 2025

@Chris is that your pointy tent? It's very attractive! I love the photo of Tony and the catapult, i feel like you could put some words on that and turn it into a post-punk album cover

    Tarp teepee

I have a Moonlight Spire It was ~70 quid, and is fairly light (although not optimised for weight). It's a glamping tent with no central pole and very very quick to put up, in a nice brown tone. Keeps at least some rain out, altho I find things inside do have a mysterious dampness to them in thr...

    What did you forage today?

Very excited to find some wood Sorrel on my camp out, after being shown it at the tracking session at the Moot. Tasted incredible, the citrus was with me for ages

    My belt kit.

I have a belt kit on camps as well as a little rucksack; mine has a knife, my house keys, sometimes money, and a face mask for smoky fires, plus a tinder bag, a compass, tissues (my nose runs in the cold), maybe a phone, and string. In a real survival situation, I'd also put a fire kit in there...

    A brush wot I made

What is the fluffy stuff made of? Are the bristles hazel as well?

    Wintermoot 2025

Just packing & getting ready to go on the road! For the second year in a row, all my doctors have been too busy to get my prescriptions in time so I really couldn't feel less like doing a big journey into the outdoors, my soul is already filled with rain. I've got a stop-off planned half way...

    Old Fashioned Truck Stops

I wish i could remember where we were, but we found a magnificent - extremely gentrified - motorway service station built like a longbarrow with drystone walling, a grass roof, lots of wood inside and all the food was from local farms, complete with a fancy duck pond. Honestly, I vibed...

    Old Fashioned Truck Stops

Disney parks do not serve alcohol as a rule but when they opened Eurodisney they were told quite flatly that would not fly in Paris XD

Withdrawn Karrimor Cougar - Green w/Brown

Not looking for a rucksack atm but I hope you find a taker, that's a really stylish design.

Survival situation - what would you do?

That's a good angle to consider. I've read a fair number of disaster memoirs now, and as far as I can tell the rule is 1. If everything is going to plan, shelter in place. That's much safer, preserves resources and strength, you're easier to find. 2. If something has gone horribly wrong...
