    I have to agree the Dremel buffing wheels don't really do much. I'd also say go with wet/dry sandpaper. You might try wetting the paper with a lubricant like WD-40. If you want the final finish satin, use scotchbrite pads. Scott

    I epoxy one scale at a time. Rough shape it around the tang with a sanding drum on a Dremel tool. Drill the tang holes and attach the other side. Repeat the second side as i did the first. With wood scales, I peen the pins with a ball peen hammer on an anvil. Then grind them off while shaping...

    Thanks. Red, yes convex grind. Not as convexed as you would think. I grind on a rotary platen that has a rubber belt behind the grinding belt. it's more of a flatter convex grind then doing it on a straight slack belt attachment. The edge is convexed. Scott
