I have been delivering bushcraft and environmental education activities for various employers and in a self employed capacity for over 10 years.
My formal training is in game and wildlife management particularly the management and stalking of British deer species, and I currently teach full time as a game and wildlife management lecturer at Reaseheath College.
Since becoming involved in formal education I have taken a great interest in the application of bushcraft as a tool within formal education and have started delivering an element of bushcraft training to countryside management students, this has proved very popular and successful and led to the recent publication of my article Does Bushcraft Have a Place in Formal Education? in the Institute for Outdoor Learning's Horizons journal.
