Can I use teak oil on leather?

Hi I have a plain untreated leather sheath and some teak oil (left over from redoing an air rifle stock). Can I use the teak oil on the sheath or would it damage / rot it? Oil off a blade seems ok on leather so I thought I might be able to use this oil on leather. Thanks.

    Knife review request

Good review, so good I just bought one (with a leather sheath). But what does white vinegar do to the blade? Stop it rusting?

How do think I can improve this photo

Nice and festive picture. I would zoom as well, it is sometimes a better close up by utilizing zoom and being a bit further away (if that makes sense). It is difficult not automatically getting as close as possible because that seems the most sensible way to get a close up shot.

Bushcraft woodland Nr Rochester Kent UK

And me, only an hour'ish from Southend. The size is enough to keep separate but enough to get lost! Usage would be every few months for a night, and again cost is a decider.

I have the first series on 2 VHS videos that both play fine (original tapes, not copies) that I was thinking of putting on ebay sometime. They are 120 mins each, I was looking for about £10/£12 depending on if collected or posted and I can take paypal. Let me know if you are interested but if...

Bushcraft day courses (& wild food)

Apologies if I have chosen the wrong forum. Essex Wildlife Trust do a few one day bushcraft courses that look ideal for beginners, as well as wild food 1/2 day courses, and wild photography etc (wild food & photography taught by Kris of Greenman Bushcraft). I have put down for the...

    Are we weird?

I have always liked the country side, woods, fresh air, rain, etc but only very recently realised that bushcraft could be a great way to learn new skills and enjoy living with nature, rather than just off it. In my early 50's I have come to this a bit late in life (and know little about...

    Intro from SE Essex

Hello, I live in SE Essex, am early 50's, and have only recently started thinking about some sort of emergency/bushcraft training. One problem for me has been that some survivalist mentality seen in other countries is extreme to say the least, another was that I could not work out what...
