Hi birchwood, It's a canvass-nylon hybrid - feels like canvass but strengthened with nylon to make it lighter than standard canvass. The zip is about 3m long and it's got teeth. Scottish Mountain Gear recommended replacing it with a coil zip as they are stronger (what do you think?).

Does anyone know a tent repair company in the south east of england who could put a new door zip on a tentipi (previously Moskoselkatan) tipi? the only company I've found is Scottish Mountain Gear, who are obviously in Scotland. It would cost a small fortune for tentipi to do it, so...

for those of you who did buy the plain steel version of the Eldfell Stove (the so-called 'comfort' version), did it come complete with a wooden box to store it in?
