    Another Knife Law (Age)

Funnily enough, S.139a actually states "Any person who has an article to which section 139 of this Act applies with him on school premises........." So in the true tradition of our carelessly worded laws (written by buffoons), it is legal to take a sub 3" folding pocket knife to school, without...

    Another Knife Law (Age)

Even the government don't understand the law, quote from direct.gov.uk ‘Knife crime’ is any crime that involves a knife. This can include: * carrying or trying to buy a knife if you’re under 18 You'd think they would at least try to get it right, rather than trying to imply that...

    Anything bushcrafty in London?

Not exactly bushcraft, but if you have an interest in knives, the Japanese sword display at the British museum is something you won't forget.

    Cleaning a Barbour Jacket

I'll second sending it back to Barbour. A few years ago I went out fishing when I was staying with the in-laws, when I got back I hung up my treasured old Barbour Solway to dry in their garage. It had nicely aged, lost it's new shine, and developed a nice "patina". Unfortunately the mother in...

    Just Curious

I don't think it's a "Mora" brand, but made in the town of Mora. Also, the laminated steel will bump the price up.

    Michael Morris knife for bushcraft?

Just got these from Michael Morris, a Friction Folder & a Profiler fixed blade. I'm more into general outdoors/camping than proper bushcraft, so not being the world's leading authority on the subject, how do you think the Profiler would cope with the bushy stuff? It's an absolute tank of a knife!

What do you wear under your Buffalo shirt?

I have a Buffalo windcheater jacket, not a mountain shirt (zip up front, styled like your bog standard fleece jacket), I find it works best with just a thermal T shirt underneath. Plenty warm enough as long as you're active. Sounds strange, but if I put a fleece jumper on as well, it doesn't...

Hi all, Just wandered over here yesterday when British Blades was down.... I've just ordered a Michael Morris profiler fixed blade (michaelmorrisknives.com) Anyone use these for bushcraft? He makes them from W1 or W2 steel files, just wondering about corrosion resistance (although I don't...
