Modifying the Cold Steel Trail Hawk, an instructional...

Thanks for the reply brother. You're probably right about the leather but I'm going to give that a try anyway. I've heard of sticking the head in an oven. Something else I've heard and may try is to simply leave the hatchet in your car on a hot summer day. Take the 'Hawk out of the car and tap...

Has anyone here used little mini wedges to tighten up a hawk head? Tried this on my Norse hawk. I tapped in some wedges on the underside of the head. I'm waiting on a couple handles at the moment. I cut the Trail Hawk's handle too short and I was never super happy with the fitment of my Norse...

    Mora Pro Robust?

I just bought a Mora Pro S. I thought about buying the Robust Pro. I wanted my knife to slice as good as possible so I opted for the more narrow blade. I am curious how the Robust Pro cuts compared to a Pro C or Pro S. I'm sure initially there wouldn't be much difference, but I wonder if after...

Absolutely gorgeous work, very impressive. I wish I had your knowledge and tools! Not to mention the guts to attempt such a feat.

    Axe handle guard tip

Very nice job. Love those GB axes. They're absolutely gorgeous! PS. Can anyone tell me why these threads are upside down for me? In other words, the newer posts are starting at the top, instead of going down?

    Hello, new man on board

Hello all! Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a gear nut and love bushcrafting conversations. I'm really into knives, hatchets, tomahawks and axes. I don't want to mislead anybody so I'll make it a point to be transparent; While I love the outdoors I don't get out often at all. I live...
