Hello all,
Here we have for sale a lovely, hand crafted Norse inspired axe. Perfect for long nights around a roaring camp fire! Built around a German axe head, probably dating to around 1900.
On one side of the handle there is a Norse dragon, beneath which written in Short Twig runes is 'I protect my master'.
On the other side we have a series of hand engraved runes and a 'Mjolnir', more commonly referred to as Thors hammer. Mjolnirs were worn as symbols of protection in the Viking Age, hence its inclusion on this axe.
The new handle has been strained and finished with organic raw linseed oil. Excellent steel, comes sharp.
