Had a phone call from Tom at Alpkit tonight after I'd emailed them earlier. I had asked them why I hadn't had the email and if they could reserve me one, the guys rang me up on their way home which I was really impressed with.

Alpkit service seems superb... They have mugged me for a skyehigh, hunka and a various range of the airlok-xtra drybags which are all superb for the price!

Mails are answered in hours and questions about what fits in what are returned with piccy's.

Might have to get me one of the pipedreams as a treat for next winter, although the SH600 and bivi are doing really well so far

My Gelert 200 weighs in at 1.8Kg according to them, not checked it myself. A PipeDream 800 ™, comes in at round 1.3, inc stuff sack. Ever so warmer too.. and smaller pack size... really looking forward to getting one..

Well it's only -2 outside, but couldn't resist seeing what these babies could do.

Only wearing merino long johns and Alpkit Trekker socks, I climbed into my shiny new Pipe Dream 800. Covered in a Dutch Army bivi bag, and laying on top of a Karrimor closed cell mat. Only bit that wasn't warm was my bum, where the bg compressed, but thats no different to any other bag. So looking forward to testing it out in colder weather with a better mat.
