It is, by every definition, a rubbish photo (reflection in the windows, etc.). It always makes me laugh though - poor wee blighter. I'm glad there was glass between us - I reckon, for all he weighed an ounce - he could have taken me!

I have been told that if a Robin's tail is down, like the photo, it is a resident British Robin. If it points up it is a European visitor. Can anybody confirm this?

All I know it Robins are very friendly, often had one come and perch on the spade handle while up at the allotment. Had one or two come into the house - they were lucky to escape alive with the cats around. Never seen one in a car though, well done for getting the photo - that's made it into my "liked images for 2012" folder on my desktop - as did the angry bird
