Fantastic weather all weekend meant we got all our planned jobs completed.

First up, fell the cracked tree we spotted on the last Meet:

Gravity is weird sometimes:

Chopped and stacked:

Woodpile in all it’s glory, this allows us to concentrate on other tasks during the summer months:

Next task; to re-proof the parachute.
First undo all knots:

Ready the barrel:

Add the chute and more Fabsil:

Seal barrel tight and kick around for a few hours, then hangchute up to air dry:

Nice progress on the woodpile guys. Hope the rest of the weekend was half the fun of Friday, I don't think I have laughed so much for a very long time.

10/10 for persistence to Karl who invented a new way to fell trees, 4ft at a time ...... from the base upwards that is.

Gosh, what glorious weather for a workparty! Did the chute dry fully? How long did it take please? I heard you were using fabsil... was there a bit left over, about how much did it use in the end, did you get other stuff treated too?? May I ask how much it was too please? Sorry about the 20 questions, I'm researching for doing the North Wood and my own :)

Looks like I missed a good meet. Sad to see my try go, but it dig have a great big split in it (nothing to do with my weight) but it kept you busy. How long did it take to get down and which way did it go in the end?

I like Martin and Karls his and hers setup :yikes: :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Also is it me or is Andys setup getting smaller and smaller ever meet?

Dried fully.

Yep, Fabsil.

4 litres left out of 15.

Karl's 4 x 3.5

An arm and a leg

2hrs to drop.

Thanks K9, that's a huge help :) I imagine the real deal has hardeners in but its still sounding do-able with diy 3 to 1 white spirit & silcone if we allow extra time. The mixing will be a beast though, need lots of burly woodland blokes with strong wrists :D Even home made is working out at £36 for 10ltr! Mad :)
