which is the sharpest pic?

Taking good pics more by luck than judgement.

Nor is my camera the best...but its simple enough for me to use

Now, if I take a series of pics of one object, to sort out the best.

most of the time you can weed out the fuzzy ones easily.

but is there a more scientific way of finding the sharpest?

Personally I always use burst mode & low ISO when taking handheld pictures.
I also find that winding the strap taut around the elbow of the arm thats holding the camera helps.
I think they call that the 'death grip'!
