All such stuff can be washed out. That's why you have to treat it from time to time.

You can try a former usual cotton tent impregation. But that stuff is not meant for regularly washed clothing.

We are happy to inform you that you can get a used military Goretex suit every corner as cheap as chips. I don't try to water proof usual fabrics. Why should I?
