It was interesting to read the part about removing down filling from the bottom of the sleeping bag to save weight and how it did not work. Freddie Chapman wrote about trying out the same idea on the Watkins Expedition back in the 30's, guess what, it failed as well, 70+ years ago

A nice site, but I just could not live on the food they use. One of the great joys of camping for me, is making good food
