The scottish area on tv???

Hi

I was watching Hugh Fearnly whittingstall the other night when he did a trip to scotland, If anyone was watching or know of the area, he pitched his borrowed teepee in the middle of nowhere at the start of the prog, (prior to going to a lake for a fish contest).

My question is: where was this area and is it ok to camp there without any permission, It looked a fantastic place to be.

Think it was near Wanlockhead ? You can camp anywhere within the limits of the OAC Outdoor Access code, in Scotland.

Actually, I think that was Conniston in the Lake District. The same episode we same him get smashed on sloe gin and collect wild mushrooms.
