This is made from a bare blade that Stuart sold and therefore does not have his makers mark on it.


Specs:

  • Blade length - 3 1/2"
  • Overall Length - 8"
  • Steel - 12C27 heat treated to Rc 59
  • Blade thickness - 4mm
  • Grind - slightly hollow with secondary bevel
  • Handle material - Ringed Gidgee

The Gidgee has a nice ripple to it but it's very difficult to photo. There is a small natural 'chip' in the left hand scale. Gidgee is a very dense wood.

The sheath is made from wet-formed 3mm veg tan leather and black linen thread, saddle-stitched.

If I didn't have two SM blades to handle I'd have your arm off, it is really well finished to boot

If anyone is mulling over this - don't. Buy it, you won't regret it.
