I'm feeling very lucky to have secured an SWC Woodlore pattern knife.

Just really looking to find out any information on it if anyone can help. Age etc if poss from makers mark

It has the most delicate tapered tang and for a slim handle it just melt into the hand.

Pics next to a current Emberleaft for comparison only

Thanks in advance

Two woodlores? You lucky so and so..... .

I have an original SWC Woodlore, pre-collab and without a tapered tang. I got it in 2006 and its been used heavily.

I'm confident that mine will outlast me, as yours will you.

Nomad Knifeworks do beautiful recreations of the Woodlore Pro, I have one in Curly Maple, I believe the guy who runs it used to be Steve Cox’s partner or work mate. They really are special. He’s also done some in a thinner stock without a tapered tang. The balance on the tapered ones are superb, so light as well even though they’re 5mm at the thickest point.
