snake brand knife

i need help identifying a blade.
it has a stamp saying 'snake brand' but the symbol is completely different to the one that i can find online.
what was it designed for?

thanks brambles, i'd seen the snake brand in sheffield but all the knives had a different stamp to this one, i guess they changed it when they took over the company.
thanks crosslandkelly, i'd sort of guessed it was but didn't want to lead anyone into a direction.

I agree Steve - looks like a "hacking knife" to me

i think it's bigger than any glazers knife i've seen and thinner on the edge.
there's a possibility of it being a clever.
