Slotted Buttons

Hi,

Strange request this one.

I'm after a source for some slotted buttons.

There the type of buttons that get held on with a small piece of webbing tape and therefore dont fall off in hard use.

You can see them on the new soldier 95 pattern issue clothing.

I tried pointnorth but sadly they dont stock them.

Any leads would be great.

Try SASS Kit, they use them on their version of the SAS smock.

I tried SASS and acording to them there is only one source and thats Canada! :shock:

They also said that there was a bit of a national shortage of them and even the MOD were running out of buttons!!! :shock:
Sadly SASS wouldn't part with any :-(

I'll keep trying.

Depends on how desperate you are and how many you want, you could buy some tatty 95 patern clothing, (shirts have small buttons, smocks have the larger ones). I stripped my kit before I handed it back in because I still have a couple of bits of kit that I wanted spares for.

I think Rogers ventile smock at Bison bushcraft has slotted buttons
you could ask him where he gets his from

he might even sell you some

Good call on the Bison idea.

I have just recieved one of Rogers smocks. (excellent bit of kit it is to)
So I phoned and he let me have the the address of the source he gets his from.

Samples are on the way.
