Sheperds crook / stickmaking book

Sheperds crook made by me some years ago,shank is hazel(cut and seasoned by me) with horn spacer and a cherry top with a 10mm threaded bar connector, all finished with a varnish..The bottom of the shank has a brass ferule,this has lived indoors all its life in a stick stand.Full length 47" and the handle is 4 1/4" at widest point

Yes joab theres a chapter 'straightening the stick'.
i personally prefer the heat gun method of straightening.
