scottish game fair

this weekend was the game fair at scone palace outside perth.
i went on sunday. possibly not the wisest of choices
lots of good stuff there, some of it even bushcafty.
big thanks to whoever organised the discount for bcuk members from tamarack.
i got a few things from them.
managed to upset a sales girl at a knife stand.
she offered to sharpen my pocket knife and when she did, got annoyed when i pointed out that it was sharper before she started.

well it was.

it rained and rained and rained. my ventile windshirt got a workout and kept me nice and dry throught.

i just got wet!! liked the black isle beer in the tent though!!!
i also loved watching the gundog trials.

and as for the food tent, wild boar pie, yummy.

I was there on Saturday with Warthog1982 and enjoyed it. I had just sold my old Allan Blade Bushcrafter to Warthog so had cash burning a hole in my pocket , so of course I saw nothing I wanted to buy, except for a carving axe I managed to resist.

Noticed that Casper on the Light My Fire stand had leaflets for Bushcraft Magazine.
