I bought one of the Russian blankets, and it's pretty good. Nice and thick, and apparently quite fire-resistant - Kevin put a lighter to one in response to my question, while talking to me on the phone
Doesn't shrink when washed, although it did pong a bit "dieselly" on arrival.
I'm out camping in a couple of weeks, so I'll post a review after that. In the meantime, I've promised Kevin I'll get the label translated by a Russian friend

I had at look at these in shop today , and although I agree they look Bluish on the website the actual hands-on colour is Greyish
Had a nice feel to it aswell ,not as heavyweight as the Dutch Monsters but very servicable bits of kit.
