Picking peoples brains.....
I need a new pair of Waterproof walking shoes.
I had a pair of Keen Targhee that have recently died. I am looking for something similar but not at £100!

I have tried some Karrimor but the comfort is terrible, the same goes for Hi Tec.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

I have these - http://www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/salomon-mens-exode-low-gtx-shoe-33110341?id_colour=3657

Comfy but at £70 not sure they qualify as "cheap". Cotswold managed to buy a shedload - they may be previous season models.

Just as an update on a chance passing of Millets i purchased these ( http://www.millets.co.uk/footwear/08518244-merrell-mens-phoenix-low-gtx-shoes.html ) for the sale price of £45, it was a choice of these and these Northface ( http://www.millets.co.uk/footwear/0...ns-hedgehog-gtx-xcr-iii-multisport-shoes.html ) on sale at £60

The Merrells just felt more comfortable straight out of the box, and a bit more cushioned. They do have rather a pronounced raised roll on the rear of the sole (so you could rock on your heels) but I will report back in the new year with a review!

Just a quick usage update.
Did a quick 4 miles today, Not to bad,
Sticky as hell on tarmac (unless there is a ground frost)
Slight hard around the ankle but as is with most new shoes should easily loosen off

Good choice. I've got similar Merrels and I live in them but my Northface Hedgehog mid boots are saved for walking. Not so impressed with the hedgehogs in the long term. They needed extra insoles for my feet and have shredded around the sides and leak a lot now. Shame as the grip is great on them.

As posted previously picked up a pair of regatta soft shell from TK max in Feb for £29.99. They are still going strong and i have not had wet feet yet and comfy as hell.
