A bit late I know, but I've only really just tied down details.

On the 12th of this month there's a Norwegian man coming over to run a Primitive Firelighting demo at the Crannog.
http://www.crannog.co.uk/docs/crannog_centre/events_diary_autumn.html

He kept the fires going, during some really dreich weather in Latvia, for our dyeing in the middle of an open field, so he's sound :approve:

Barrie has agreed to allow us access to the Dalherb site again.
If we camp there and go over to the Crannog to visit it would be easier on their staff who can get a bit stressed over the, "Who he? " kind of thing, worrying if we ought to be in and out the back or not.

The site is available from the Friday to the Sunday and we're fixing ot have anew numerical padlock so no issues with keys.

I know it's late notice but is anybody interested in coming along ?

cheers,
Toddy

The Crannog is set up to deal with children's groups if that's of any help. There are frequent school tours.
I know RA's and H&S is a real pain for some sites though.

You'd be very welcome to visit whenever you can manage :)

cheers,
Toddy

I'll have the family up there slumming it at Moness House Hotel & Country Club :D anyway as it's our school holiday week. We'll definitely try and pop in on the Sunday, seems like a good day for it if some guys are burning things, someone's making bread and there's a bunch of guys in ventile green roaming around!

Cheers,

Alan

Hi All,

Took the family up to the Crannog and they loved it, little chainsaw had a go with Toddys firebow set, lots of smoke but no joy, he's now on at me to put one together for him, thanks Toddy!;)
