bilmo-p5 I started this thread so as not to highjack the tent peg one, my tent is 14' square at the base and 11'6" high, with a door extension added on the side. the other side of the door looks the same, The back and far wall have a screened window and flap sewn in, we had to wrap a tarp around because snow was getting in. I would add a link to the maker in the USA but figure that might break some rules.

Please do post the link, EM, and thank you for starting this new thread.

I've been looking at range tipi & mountain spike type tents for a long time and actually bought one several years ago but it got 'lost' in transit. At the time I resigned myself to not easily getting such a tent in UK and settled for a Bison Tundra 3 which is about the right footprint, but a bit on the tall side and far too fiddly around the top for my liking.
The tent I made a couple of years ago bore a more than passing resemblance to this one, but it didn't quite work out. I'm still after a simple pyramid and will likely put one together next year.
Always looking for ways to get around the sloping door without making it too much of a work-up.

Mmmm....now that's a nice tent!

Some forums don't like non sponsoring companies link but if its ok here goes,

Don Strinz is makes very good tents. My tent has the optional "Double A Door" which gives you more room, plus stove jack and two screened windows, and sod cloth, no floor though. Outside activites in the winter are great if at the end of the day you can dry stuff out get out of the weather.
Mine is 14 x 14 and just over 11 high I can use an inside pole as I do or two externals and hang it from the loop provided, we use the internal pole to hang stuff from.
