I was thinking about where I would suggest people go to see the best of the UK, from personal experience, and do a little bushcraft at the same time. Here is my starter list of six places, lets see yours;

Ardnamurchan
Glen Affric
Loch Sheil
St Kilda
Cairngorm mountains
Sandwood bay, NW Scotland
:rolleyes:

I always liked the Chiltern hills and the RAF keep sending me on courses at RAF Halton which is right in the middle of them. Another great place I found is a Peanmeanach Bothy on the Mallaig road - I think it was an old fishing community, now only the bothy is inhabitable. Its right on the beach after going through some native oakwoods, I wish I was a paddler lots of exped potential here!

I wouldn't advertise that bothy ...it just doesn't seem right some how ;)

As for other places...my list is best kept guarded to my chest :p

Silkstone, Blighty!
I always wanted to do a six month tour on St Kilda. Unfortunately, the post dissapeared when the Army moved off of the island. That would have been a great six months.
