I picked one of these up a couple of months ago on Amazon, they'd be great for chucking a pack on if you want a lightweight option for short distances. They'll need a bit of fettling to add some straps, but for the weight and size when rolled up they might be a better option than the loaded tarps I've seen.

Around 350g and a good size to take a pack or two, rolls up into a 18x3" tube

What sort of thickness is the material?

i'm wondering about attaching webbing for tie on points.

It's thin, maybe a mil or just a smidge over

It seems like tough stuff though, I reckon it would take a rivet and washer no problem. Looking at the cut out handles at the front I should think you could just cut new slots down the long edge and loop webbing through. It's going to curl up at the edges when it gets cinched up for sure
