I consider myself very lucky to have access's to a variety of mixed woodland so thought id go off for a little wander today :)

It poured all day here :sigh: I got stuck redding out cupboards.....found masses of stuff :eek:

I think you had more fun that I did, though 3 posts does rather suggest you've found the sloe gin too ;) I've modded 2 & 3.

I used to live in Freuchie not far from you guys there's a couple of good bits of woodland you might be intrested in, the first is mixed decidious(mostly beech/birch)/plantation. Park at GR 58/309058. The other is Star Moss. Park 58/306047. Star Moss is a nature reserve but it nice for a walk and has some huge Horseshoof fungus on the many dead birch.
Both worth a bushcrafting visit! Ed.
