Saw this while I was out for a walk ,not sure.which sort it is I'll go back and take a photo when it's grown a bit

It's probably a pyramidal orchid. If you take another photo can you take one from the side so that the shape of the flower head is visible?
Can't get back until the weekend,but with a bit of luck it will have grown a bit by then

Lousewort is a common plant of wet heathland and moorland and is a plant with which I am familiar. That said, it is easy to misidentify species from a photo. With these photos, a wider angle shot and/or brief notes about the habitat often help.

So, Lousewort tends to be found in more acidic conditions whereas Pyrimidal Orchid tends to be found in more alkaline conditions i.e. chalk grassland.
