Off to Norway this summer, bit of kayaking solo bushcrafting, just wondered if I could get a heads up on tackle from any of the regular visitors
or even better Norwegian residents.
I plan to fish a couple of lakes for the trout species to supplement my rations.
could you tell me if im on the right track?
3g-12g spinning rod
3g-7g mepps, blue fox spinners in gold, silver, black, chartreuse
soft plastics and jig heads 3g-10g
cicada blades 3g-11g
Drop shot rigs (for vertical jigging off the yak)
texas rigs 5g (for snags)
Float kit for worm fishing- #8 hooks
10lb braid,4lb fluro carbon leader.
Anybody that knows the score make any recommendations?
many thanks in advance chaps

Sounds about right.
I've had a fair amount of success with very light Mepps, and correspondingly light short rod and braid. Tend to favour silvers and golds during the day, and darks late in the twilight.
Dont forget to check any local permissions and permits.
Hope you enjoy it!

thanks mate, its always a tricky one especially when you trying to keep weight down, usually ill take the kitchen sink
but ive got to be a bit OCD with this, or ill end up with boxes of it :-D
infact I could probably get away with less than half of that but unfortunately im a total self confessed tackle tart

Should do the trick.
Bring some flies to, like March Browns, Zulu Silvers and Red Tags.
A rig with a flater in the end and 2-3 flies with 10-15 cm between them along the line is very effective on grayling and trout in the rivers.
